Fairbanks Distilling Company is excited to announce a new partnership with Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge (FPRL). Living in Fairbanks, we all know that this luxury hotel chain serves the finest food & beverage selections all over the state in their beautifully decorated restaurants and Bars. One of the ways that our local Lodge insures that they only prepare the best, is by providing fresh ingredients from their onsite garden. This beautiful garden not only served as a showcase to their visitors as to what Interior Alaska can produce under our Midnight Sun – giant cabbages and zucchinis, but it also produced beautiful Yukon Gold potatoes. At the end of last summer, we were approached by the FPRL Food & Beverage Manager, Mr. Mark Winans, who asked if we would be able to use their potatoes to turn into our super smooth 68 Below vodka. My response was, “Why yes we can” and I think Mark said, “Well let’s do this!” Our partnership was born. Fairbanks Distilling Company produced a very lovely 68 Below vodka, with vanilla and cinnamon notes using the Princess grown Yukon Gold potatoes. We look forward to continuing this relationship and when you are visiting a Princess Hotel this summer down on the Kenai or at the Copper River or after hiking in Denali National Park or after strolling through the expansive gardens at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge don’t forget to ask for their Cheechoco Martini this summer, which is incredible and truly a taste of Alaska.
